I am Suzie Weathers. I'm a Reactor operator in the Naturohair at Peachtree City, GA
A friend, whom I greatly respect, recently posed the following questions to me. What do you believe the first impression strangers have of you? Since I have had many, many encounters, I suspect the first impression is either a positive or at least a curious one. Given my disposition, I believe I am seen as a positive person, someone worth speaking with. In these days of COVID, while working at the art museum as a greeter, many people have the option of simply avoiding me or engaging me. Most engage me or at least greet me favorably. I understand that every single person who sees me for the very first time is making some type of assessment. But that is true of almost everyone we meet. I can truly say that I have never had a negative experience to my face. I certainly know I have rolled a few eyeballs, I know I have been discussed between couples that have met me, but I firmly believe I have left nothing but generally positive impressions. I can say that I have not shied away from putting myself out there. I have said here and in other places that tens of thousands of people have seen me. I will use one specific example. The Cleveland Museum of Art (pre-COVID) held a Summer Solstice party. We generally have over five thousand visitors. In 2018, I was the main greeter, directing people to the appropriate line. Just that night alone, I got 5,000 look-sees with many, many positive comments. I was a prominent participant in the monthly museum MIX parties, which regularly hosted (I miss those days…) a few thousand guests. What do you suppose people think of you after meeting? I am certain I have been a topic of conversation in many a person’s home! It would be foolish of me to think I wasn’t discussed. If my wife and I met a “sister” in the wild (obviously I have an interest), we would discuss or at least mention her. Many, many people that I have met and have been unable to remember (I meet so many, especially when we had the monthly parties at the art museum, I have difficulties remembering everyone), have come up to me and reintroduced themselves. That happened just the other day. That tells me the initial reaction was a positive one. Because I respect the privacy of others, I don’t post too many pictures of me with other people, but I have many, many photos demonstrating how I have been perceived. PLEASE don’t mistake this for arrogance on my part. Frankly, me, no one would give a damn. Kandi, different story. How do you explain being a bigender M2F crossdresser to a stranger? I guess I would have to understand it myself to explain it. But one thing I always do is encourage questions. I have told many a person to ask whatever they want, telling them I cannot be offended. And I have been asked many different types of questions. One group of woman even asked me, let me phrase this delicately, if I was shaved “down there”. [This happened at a North Coast Men’s Chorus concert, so there, this type of question was not unexpected.] I’ll leave the answer to your imagination….. My very simple explanation of why I am dressed as I am is that it makes me happy. If we don’t encourage others to try and understand us, how will we change anything? My mission in my life now is to make a difference. Help a sister. Be a positive example. I have had a lot of great things in my life and I have a lot of struggles. What’s the point of it all if you can’t turn it all around and make a difference? Thank you, my friend, for sparking me to think a bit. We’ve added 2017 to the Gallery page, quite a remarkable year! Probably not. Luckily, Cyrus is here with five tips to help you boost your internal linking strategy — and your site performance — in this brand new Whiteboard Friday. Resources for further reading: • Should SEOs Care About Internal Links? Video TranscriptionHowdy, Moz fans! Welcome to another edition of Whiteboard Friday. I'm Cyrus Shepard, and today we are talking about internal links. Specifically, five SEO tactics to maximize your internal links. I love internal links. There are a lot of guides out there, internal link best practices — they explain everything. This is not that video. This is not that guide. Instead, I want to show you ways to maximize your internal links for maximum SEO gain, because I see a lot of people who don't leverage their full power, and they think internal links simply aren't as powerful. But first, a story...So I have some specific tactics for you to try and employ, and we'll get into those in a second. But first, to demonstrate internal links, I want to start with a story, a story which shows some of their potential power. It's a story of a single link here at Moz that we employed several months ago. We have a page on Domain Authority. If you Google "Domain Authority," it's typically the very first result. Back in January, we added a single link to the page. We had just launched a new tool, SEO Domain Metrics, and we wanted to add a link from our existing page to our new page. So we did. The link said "Check your Domain Authority for free," and we added it. Within weeks we saw some interesting metrics, not on the page that we linked to, but on the page that we linked from. We also included an image on the page to draw attention to the link. Bounce rate instantly went down 33%. Why? People were clicking the link. They wanted to check their Domain Authority. Pages per session went up 33%. So when people were visiting this page, they were visiting more pages pretty much because of this link and the accompanying image. Session duration was up 10%. So people were spending 10% more time on Moz after they visited this page. Within a few weeks, traffic to the page that we added the link to was up 42%, and it has sustained that traffic increase ever since January when we added that link. Of course, the page that we linked to we added links from all over the site. Traffic on this page has risen exponentially, and it's now one of the top pages on Moz, probably not all because of this link, but the cumulative efforts of many of those links. So why did that link work so well and why do we think that the link helped improve those page metrics? So here's the thing that most people don't get about internal links. 1. EngagementNumber one, strive for engagement. When you add internal links to your page, it gives people the opportunity to visit other relevant pages on your site, thereby improving your engagement metrics. That's when you know that your internal links are working when you improve engagement. If you're just adding SEO links for SEO value and there's no engagement change, are you really adding value? No. So you want to go after engagement. There are some technical Google reasons for this. Google has several patents that we've discussed over the years — reasonable surfer. There's a patent called User Sensitive PageRank. Through these patents, Google describes how they want to count links that people actually click. If people aren't clicking on your links, should they really count? So Google has several processes in place to sort of measure what people are clicking or what they might click and actually pass more weight through those links. So you get help with the engagement, but you also pass more link signals through those links that people are actually clicking. Now think about where you might be putting your internal links now. Are you putting them at the bottom of the page, like in a related post? Is anybody clicking those widget links? Maybe not, probably not. Look at the top of this post, the top of this page. I'm going to add some links about internal linking at the very top of the post. Do you think people are going to click those links? You bet they are. There's a good chance you're going to click one of those links after you watch this video. Or maybe you clicked on it before you watch those videos. So we would expect those links to pass more value than adding those links further down on the page or in a widget or something like that. You can tell your internal links are working and have value when you see your engagement metrics start to move. So that should be the number one measure or standard of if your internal links are valuable and are working for you. Pursue engagement, number one rule. 2. Extreme topical relevanceNumber two tip, extreme topical relevance. Now people say, yes, you should link to topically relevant pages. I like link to extremely topically relevant pages. So whenever I publish a new page, I look for the other pages on my site that are very topically related, and I make sure to interlink them appropriately so I can get the right rankings boost to the right pages that I want. There are other Google technical reasons for this too. We talked about reasonable surfer and user sensitive PageRank. Well, Google also has something they patented called Topical PageRank, and that means that links that are more topically relevant pass more value. Links that are less topically relevant pass less value. You can also look at your engagement metrics to see if these links are topically relevant because people generally don't want to click less topically relevant links. So a couple of tips for finding your most topically relevant pages on your site. For example, for Domain Authority, I might look at all the other keywords that that page ranks for in positions 2 and 10, which means they rank highly but they're not quite number 1 and I want to boost the rankings. I want to find other pages on my site that also rank for those keywords. So I would use a query like this, and I'll put the code in the transcription below. I would search on my site, site to moz.com, search for my keyword "Domain Authority," and I would exclude the page that I'm actually looking for, so: site:moz.com domain authority -inurl:/domainauthority Google will give me a list of other pages on my site that rank for Domain Authority, excluding this, and I know those might be good link targets to link to my page to help it rank for those terms. We have some other resources on that as well if you search around and I'll link to: Harnessing the Flow of Link Equity to Maximize SEO Ranking Opportunity 3. Add contextThird tip, don't just add links, add context to your links. One thing that a lot of people do, that I hate seeing, is when they add a link to a page, they'll just find a piece of relevant text and they'll add a link to it and that's it, without adding any relevant context or anything else like that. In my experience, it's much better if you add context around a link. Google's freshness patents talk about the amount of change in a document. When they just see a link, they might ignore just a simple link added. But if you add text, if you add image, if you add context around a link to help draw people's attention to it, to help give some relevant signals to Google, that link, in my experience, is much more likely to pass value than simply adding a link and linking some existing text. So always add context to your links. 4. Make every link uniqueNumber four, can you believe we're at four out of five? Number four, make every link unique. Now a lot of people in SEO they talk about link ratio. Should you use exact match anchor text or partial match anchor text? What should your ratios be? I think that's far too complicated. I think much easier is just simply make every new link you add unique. Make it natural. Use natural words. I tend to avoid exact match anchor text completely. That way I get to avoid something that's very easy to do, which is over-optimization. If you're a new site with not a lot of authority, Google has processes in place to detect over-optimization when they think that you're trying to manipulate your rankings. So make every link unique. Use natural words. Don't worry about ratios and things like that. If you follow my advice, I would generally avoid exact match anchor text on internal links. Other people may give you different advice though. 5. Trim low value linksFinally, tactic number five, you may consider trimming your low value links, and this is another technical reason. This is a type of old PageRank sculpting. The idea is every page has a certain amount of PageRank. If you include lots and lots of links on your page, the value that Google is able to pass through each link is diminished. It's diluted. So you sometimes may want to eliminate the low value links. So what do I mean by a low value link? Links that are not engaging and not relevant. People are not clicking them. If they're not engaging and they're not relevant, there is simply no point to include them on the page if they're not being actually helpful. ConclusionAll right. So those are my five tips for getting the most power of your internal linking. Kanske spacklas. Kanske nåt annat. Det blir nog bra! Play some pickleball in the morning, get in a short run to test the Achilles, finish an outdoor painting project. My wife was working late this evening, so I then planned to get dressed and run some errands. Well, Mother Nature had different plans, so I had to call an audible. The day started with me dressed from the neck down in female workout attire, on the treadmill and stepper for almost an hour and a half at Planet Fitness. As far as I know, no one noticed or cared. No pictures of this, I don’t want to scare people. My new acceptance of masks allowed me to go with a regular shave (not the close one I usually am tortured by), keeping my face in tact and cutting my prep time almost in half. It rained for the bulk of my outing on this day. My first stop was a local Nike outlet store. I literally run through shoes so twice a year I need to restock. While looking at the clearance shoes, the young man working there said “Ma’am do you need any help?”. You know how that makes me feel! I picked up two pair of shoes in colors I could never find in my price range (shoes seem to be priced based on color, the brighter, the more expensive) for the cost of one pair on sale. Yeah me!! Stop two, the bank to make a deposit. Allow me to provide a little peak into my ongoing evolution as a bigendered person. I recently talked about this a bit, so forgive me for treading the same ground. For many years now, I have been a 24/7/365 panty girl. I own no male underwear. I wear them to the doctor, the gym (and the locker room), anywhere I am, all the time. Now please don’t think I parade around for all to see. At the doctor I would wear a simple pair of cotton briefs. In the locker room, always having a shirt on, you really can’t see anything, plus the rooms aren’t exactly packed. It can easily be managed and it’s no one’s business anyway. As such, I have an extensive collection. I also have a rather large bra collection. As the weather has changed, allowing for multiple layers of clothing, I have decided to take an almost similar route and wear a bra as often as I possibly can without making it obvious. This means I have had to build two different bra collections, one for me and one for Kandi. Buying bras for Kandi is easy, for me, not so much. It’s a matter of trial and error as the bra needs to support my breast (I do have small ones) while lying flat underneath my clothing. Also, in this circumstance, I want no lift or extra padding. In the size I am seeking, that is difficult to find. I have found going down two bra sizes with an A or B cup has worked well. But finding cups that lay flat has been a challenge. So I have recently gone on a buying binge at various Burlingtons (I simply won’t pay the retail prices for these bras) and have built a sizeable and suitable collection. I picked up a Warner, Maidenform and two Halston bras, just perfect, for probably 10% of retail. So for stop three on this day, I had to return the bras that didn’t fit right or lay flat enough. I had three different returns and the cashier was wonderful as we went through all of it. I generally don’t go into what I wear underneath here on the blog, but for girls out there wondering how others scratch their itch, I think it’s important to share. The next stop was the central point around which I built my day, a fabulous farmer’s market. I picked up two loaves of crack, I mean sourdough and pretzel bread as well as a few other things. My plan was to craft a meal for tomorrow around the breads and I decided on a gourmet grilled cheese meal. The next stop was a vinyl record store, researching some ideas for a Christmas gift idea I have for our daughter. I then stopped at another Burlington, found nothing and then filled up the tank at the gas station. My final stop was to pick up the elements for my meal plan. I knew what cheeses I already had at home, so I supplemented it with a few more different cheeses and some tomato soup. This should be a great meal, grilled cheese on pretzel bread with tomato slices, tomato soup and watermelon. Boy, I would make someone a great wife!! [The meal was awesome! I used a garlic olive oil on the bread instead of butter and got a great crust with fabulous grill marks.] A brief comment on my outfit. Again, I went everyday woman. This recently purchased black thermal (worn now as both of me, particularly when running in cold weather, if I can ever run again), a great pair of Piece Unique 90% off black jeans (maybe $2.50), boots, a triple draping necklace, a lovely matching mask and my chartreuse vest and matching headband. I felt very “put together”. So, the morale of the story. I went in and out of nine different places and no one attacked me, no one treated me anything but respectfully, no one batted an eye. This is real life. This is our world. Screwed up in many ways, wonderous in many others. I am always thrilled at the either nonreaction of others or the many positive interactions I receive. Underbart. October 18, 2020 – The final day of a realized five day Kandi run. Between my wife’s work schedule, the weather which allowed for a bit less yard work, and just happenstance, I was able to be myself either to get out or to take care of whatever I needed to do for the household over an extended period. I had scheduled a shift at the art museum this morning and was thrilled to do so. The young man who checks me in and checks my temperature to allow admission, greeted me as you see above, quite enthusiastically. He couldn’t see the giant smile under my mask. It’s the little things for me that I notice, that I cherish. “She”. “Her”. “Ms. Robbins”. “Girl”. “Love”. Gold nuggets to me. This was another mask day from leaving my garage until I parked back in the garage upon my return. So, I was able to do an electric shave, not great for Kandi without a mask, but since that wasn’t the case, great for comfort. I have finally (yeah, I’m a dumbsh!t) embraced the mask. I always wore the disposable mask. Uncomfortable. Fogged glasses. Now, especially this day, I got complements on how well my mask matched my dress. This dress was picked up on the 90% off rack at Piece Unique. I don’t believe it cost me more than $2. It is freakin’ adorable! It is also very stiff, I am not a fan of the material. It is a Coldwater Creek dress. So at this cost, it is disposable clothing, one and done and off to consignment. But it got it’s day in the sun. The art museum was dead as it has been on Sunday mornings (it picks up in the afternoons). So I did a lot of walking around, smiling, taking with staff and just reveling in the fact that I was as cute as I was in a very public place. A wonderful young lady came up and remembered me. She and I had talked extensively last year at a Plexus happy hour (oh, how I miss those days). I had no idea who she was initially principally because of the mask and of course, because of my advanced age and suspect memory. This was another great moment for me. I received complements this day on my shoes (which I do every single time I wear them), mask and overall outfit. There is a doll that works there and she is my inspiration! She always look so great. Her skirt game is fabulous! I told her I always love what she is wearing and she always prompted me to bring my “A” game. I believe I made her very happy. She was equally complementary. I just love this place! All that said, I am very bummed. The museum is stopping the wayfinder program and starting an information desk beginning in November. The problem with that is that only one person works the desk, we had two wayfinders, so slots are limited. So I’ll still work at the museum, but not as often and that frankly sucks. Opportunities to get out in public are few and far between and now they are even fewer. I stopped at Burlington on my way home and picked up a new bra and a piece of shapewear I love in nude (I already have it in black). I am always looking for the the right bra to wear as “me”, not that noticeable in my male clothing (not easy). I am a 24/7/365 panty girl (it’s been well over four years since I wore male underwear) and want to get near those numbers with a bra, but it’s not as easy given my dimensions and the fact that it cannot be obvious. It would please me greatly to get up every morning and put on a bra and panties and go about my day, male or female. I got one down pat, the other is a work in process. TMI, I know. So this is me on my way to work. Allow me to reiterate, I am so happy to be a woman and want to incorporate that into my every day life as much as is possible. Life is not as simple as this or that unfortunately. from Kandi's Land https://kandis328772669.wordpress.com/2020/11/04/good-morning-ms-robbins/ via IFTTTSidor som bodycontact via Blogger “Good Morning, Ms. Robbins”sidor som bodycontact Posted by ColanNielsen 2020 has been a busy year for Google My Business (GMB). Since January, Google has launched new features, fixed bugs, and had to adapt to the global pandemic. At Sterling Sky, we think it’s important to keep track of all the changes that happen in the local search space in general, and that impact GMB specifically. So far in 2020 we are up to 54 changes. As you can tell, changes that impact Google My Business came at a fast pace — and at high volume — in 2020. In this post, I highlight the changes I think were most important in each month of this year, so far. For an exhaustive list of all the updates that have been made, check out this timeline. January: Google posts borked — hello, 2020!Foreshadowing things to come, GMB started off the year with a major issue in their Google Posts feature. Google Posts were getting rejected left, right, and center. At first, it appeared to be a bug in the system. We were further confused when Google stated that everything was “working as intended”, but the Google My Business Forum was still flooded with users complaining that their Google Posts were being rejected, and not just for a single reason: And then Google announced that they resolved the issue. Was it truly “Working as intended”? Likely not, but the issues have, indeed, been resolved. This hiccup made it tough for SEOs who offer Google Posts as part of their service offerings to do their work, and it would have been even more difficult for software companies that connect to Google’s API and offer multi-location Google Posts. When one of GMB’s products fail, it’s on us as SEOs to clearly explain what’s happening to our clients. Staying on top of GMB bugs, and being able to articulate them, is a critical component of the modern local SEO tool belt. February: Google adds “suggested categories” for GMB ProductsFebruary saw the first of many visible changes to the GMB dashboard when Google added “suggested categories” to the Products section. As of today, we still don’t know if this specific addition impacts ranking, but they still appear in the business profile on mobile, so they can impact conversions. In addition, we do know that adding actual GMB Products does not impact ranking. March: Google launches several COVID-related featuresMarch saw the beginning of GMB allocating a large percentage of their support resources to the healthcare verticals that were impacted most by COVID-19. To complicate things further, Google disabled the GMB Twitter and Facebook support options. In addition to allocating resources to healthcare verticals, they began launching specific GMB features to help businesses adjust and communicate their current state of operations to their customers. Some of these initial features included:
These features have done a great job helping businesses through the pandemic, and give SEOs another venue to offer value by implementing them for our clients in a proactive manner. For instance, the COVID-19 Google Post type appears higher up in the business profile, compared to regular Google Post types, which gives us the opportunity to offer businesses an effective way to give their message an increased level of visibility. April: GMB adds telehealth appointment and COVID linksApril concluded with GMB adding several new website link options to the dashboard. The two main link options that were added are the “COVID-19 info link” and the “Telehealth info link”: Here’s how they look live on mobile: We dug into Google Analytics for the example above. The COVID links, in addition to being a useful way to communicate new protocols, also drove traffic and conversions. May: Google confirms April/May local ranking fluctuations were bugsIn November 2019, we described the local ranking algorithm as the “most volatile” we had seen it to date. The ranking fluctuation was so great that we named the algorithm update that was happening “Bedlam”. When we started to see strikingly similar volatility in the local search results in April 2020, we jumped to the conclusion that this was another local algorithm update. However, Danny Sullivan confirmed that it was a bug this time around: <blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Just wanted to update. Thanks for the examples. They helped us find a bug that we got resolved about about two weeks ago, and that seems to have stabilized things since.</p>— Danny Sullivan (@dannysullivan) <a href="https://twitter.com/dannysulli... 28, 2020</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script> Several of our clients who saw major ranking fluctuation told us that the real-world impact on their business was palpable. When their rankings dropped, they immediately felt it from a revenue perspective, and when their rankings moved back up, revenue went back up as well. I can only guess that the amount of revenue lost and gained due to this bug, across all businesses, was astronomical. June: GMB adds “more hours” optionIn June, GMB included a new set of hours that a business can add to their locations to indicate when they are open for special circumstances. Some of the “more hours” options appeared to be a response to the pandemic, such as “senior hours”. I suspect that this feature will be available long after the pandemic is over. SEOs can add value for their clients by proactively setting this up. Some bigger chains such as Wal-Mart are already doing a great job utilizing this feature. Here are some examples I’ve found in the wild recently: July: Google adds ability to flag user profilesThis is one of my favorite new features from Google this year. They now provide the option for any user to flag a user profile. This new feature is ideal when you want to report a reviewer’s profile that is engaging in clearly fake reviews. Before this option became available, the only way to report an entire user’s profile was to send an email to Local Guides support. The important thing to remember is that this feature is only available from the Google Maps App. Here’s how it works:
August: GMB adds performance metrics to direct edit experienceThe GMB direct edit experience has been around for a while now. (Ben Fisher did a great job covering it recently.) It’s a useful way for GMB page managers and owners to make edits to the listing directly on Google search, and not have to go into the GMB dashboard. What GMB added to this feature in August was the ability to see performance metrics (GMB Insights) directly in Google search as well. What I like about this feature is that you can go back and get data from a six-month window, and as of today, you can only go back three months inside the GMB dashboard. Here’s how you find the performance metrics. Please note that this feature is not available to all businesses yet. Google typically rolls out new features in phases. As Google gathers data on this rollout, and if it is being adopted well, I imagine we will see this rolled-out to 100% by early 2021. Perform a branded search for the business that you manage and select the “View profile” button. Next, you need to select “Add a highlight”. This used to be labeled as “Promote”: After that, select “Performance”: And finally, after selecting the performance option you will be able to view your insights data. September: COVID-related health and safety attributes launchThe pandemic influenced several new GMB features such as the “temporarily closed” option and COVID-19 Google Post type, which we have already covered. I think the most significant feature related to COVID-19, however, was the launch of the coronavirus-related health and safety attributes, which were launched in September. Google seems to be adding more attributes to the list as time goes on, but here is what they have added as of today. You can select these under the “Info” tab inside the Google My Business dashboard. These attributes are powerful because they are highly visible in multiple places. You can see them on both mobile and desktop, and in both Google Maps and Google search. Here’s what they look like in the wild: October: New “preview call history” module in GMB dashboardAs of the beginning of October, I started seeing a module inside the GMB dashboard called “Preview call history BETA”. It’s not entirely clear what the final feature will look like, but experts have been weighing in over at the Local Search Forum. Here’s what we know so far based on feedback from Google as well as members' feedback from the Local Search Forum.
So what? November, December, and 2021Like Bowie said, “Ch-ch-ch-ch-changes”. When it comes to Google My Business, you can expect the changes to keep coming as we complete 2020 and move on to 2021. As for my future predictions, where Google My Business is concerned, I see guidelines opening up to include additional business models as a result of the pandemic, and due to the shift that businesses have had to make from an in-person, brick-and-mortar operation to online service. Telehealth is a prime example. Google has been adding several GMB attributes that a business can select to indicate that they offer online services. Currently, the guidelines say you need to make in-person contact with customers to qualify for a listing. At the very least, Google has opened this rule up temporarily during the pandemic to accommodate this new health model. So the question is whether or not this will continue into the future once the pandemic is over. I think they will. And with that, remember to turn and face the strange, and embrace Google My Business in all of its constantly changing glory. My wife was working late and I had dialysis duty for my Dad. So I spent the cold morning playing pickleball, took Dad to dialysis, did some painting outside on our sun room and finally a bunch of office work. Then I got everything all ready to go out after I picked Dad up, with a full shave already done. I was on a quest, which we will get to shortly. I recently picked up some Cuddle Duds thermals at Kohl’s (I highly recommend them!), they work well for me in either mode. I have a favorite vest I love, so I had an idea for my day. I finally embraced the whole mask thing (yes, I have been wearing them, but the disposable kind) and decided to use them to my advantage. My wife bought a bunch of different masks (she has to wear one 40 hours a week) and I love the one you see here. So knowing I would be masked 100% of the time on this outing, I was able to get ready and out the door in less than half an hour. And while I am certainly biased, I thought I looked pretty damn cute this day! I may incorporate the mask into future outfits and by taking some shortcuts, getting out a few extra times. Without revealing too much about my personal life, our daughter is also a big music fan (they both are, but one even more so). She is trapped working at home, so she started a few months back listening to the Rolling Stone Top 500 albums (circa 2003). Every album, every track, regardless of how much she may not like it. About 30 or so albums in, Rolling Stone unexpectedly released an updated and significantly different Top 500. The list is featured in the October edition of the magazine. What a great idea I had! Get her the magazine for Christmas, along with some other related gifts. Great for her, fun for me to shop for them. So I went to a Barnes and Noble, which has a huge magazine section, nothing. I went to another, their magazine racks were literally completely empty. I checked at a local drug store. Then another and another and another. Nothing. My wife was also doing the same and some one suggested she check out Meijer (not that close to our home). So this began my quest on the day you see me dressed above. Meijer. Nothing. Target. Nothing. Giant Eagle. Nothing. I did a little girl shopping and then headed to Walmart. Nothing. Screw it, I’ll try to order a copy directly from Rolling Stone. On my way home, still feeling very cute, I figured I’d try one more place, a local grocery chain called Acme. I walk into Acme and start looking around. A gentleman in a bow tie asks if he can help me find something. Another woman is also looking for something as well so he leads us, as she said, like ducklings in a row to what we were each looking for. An impressive magazine selection. All the way up top, in the very back I see Bruce Springsteen staring at me (he is on the cover of this edition). Paydirt! I was joyous! I tried to find the gentleman that helped me to thank him, but couldn’t. This was not the day I had originally planned, but it was so very wonderful. I looked great, I interacted with quite a few people, I was proud to be a good father and the woman that I am! A simple day, a glorious day, the kind of day I treasure. Paydirt, indeed……. I thought about naming this post “Papa Was Looking For a Rolling Stone” (sorry, Temps), but it just didn’t flow. from Kandi's Land https://kandis328772669.wordpress.com/2020/11/03/paydirt/ via IFTTTSidor som bodycontact via Blogger Paydirt!sidor som bodycontact |
